Meanings
- happy Eid (holiday greeting)
Usage
Saha 3idek is the usual way to wish someone a happy Eid, at Eid el-Fitr as well as Eid el-Adha. It is addressed to one person. For several people, or out of politeness, say saha 3idkoum. The reply is "w nta saha" (to a man), "w nti saha" (to a woman) or "w ntouma saha". The greeting is often accompanied by "3idkoum mabrouk" and wishes for the coming year. It is also used in text messages and on social media. Pitfall: saha does not mean "health" in the medical sense here. It is a congratulatory formula, as in "saha ftourek".
Example

sa7a 3idek ya khouya, allah yetqabbel menna w menkoum
