- to leave, to move away
Usage

The usual construction is rhel l- followed by the destination (rhelna l-dar jdida) or rhel men for the place left. The corresponding noun, rhil, refers to the move itself, often with the idea of boxes and help from relatives. It should not be confused with the noun rihla, "trip", which comes from the same root but refers to a temporary journey. The register is everyday and informal.
