Usage
Hdar (imperfective yahder) is the most common verb for "to speak" in Algeria. It takes m3a for the person addressed (hdar m3aya, "he spoke to me") and 3la for the subject discussed (hdar 3la l-khedma, "he talked about work"). The related noun is lehdra, "speech, what is said".
