Usage
An abstract noun derived from hraymi, "rogue, little trickster". It refers to being cunning, trying to deceive or to take advantage of a situation. Depending on the tone, the judgment can be openly negative (dishonesty) or half-amused, almost admiring, of a well-played trick. It is often found in constructions such as "fih ta7ramit" ("he is crafty") or "dar ta7ramit" ("he pulled a rogue's trick"). The register is informal. The variant ta7raymit is also heard. The closest equivalent is "craftiness" or "roguery", rather than "theft", despite the relation to 7rami.
