Meanings

Usage
Wach dakhlek is used to snub someone who is meddling in something that doesn't concern them. The literal meaning is "what makes you enter?". A complement is often added: "wach dakhlek fiya?" ("why are you getting involved with me?"), "wach dakhlek f hadi?". The form changes with the person: "wach dakhlou" (him), "wach dakhelkoum" (you, plural). The tone is direct, sometimes curt; with an elder or a stranger, the phrase can seem rude. It is also used jokingly among close friends.
