Usage

Yrouh is the third-person masculine imperfective form of the verb rah, "to go". It is a basic verb in Algeria, where other Maghreb dialects use mcha instead. It takes l'(ou) or 3and for the destination: "yrouh l'Oran", "yrouh 3and yemmah". Depending on context, it also means "to leave" or "to be lost": "rahet 3liya" means "I missed it, it slipped away from me". Also beware of rah/raho, a presentative particle ("here it is, he is"): it is a different word, not to be confused with this verb.
