“7essas” (حسّاس) is an adjective in Moroccan Darija meaning sensitive, touchy.

Meanings

  1. sensitive, touchy
  2. delicate (topic, skin)

Usage

7essas first describes a sensitive or touchy person: "nta 7essas bzzaf" (you are too sensitive). It is also used of sensitive skin ("bachra 7essasa") or a delicate subject ("mawdou3 7essas"). The feminine is 7essasa and the plural 7essasin. It should not be confused with 7issa, which means a session or a class ("7issa dyal surf"), even though the two words look alike in writing. It does not mean "sensible" in the sense of "reasonable".
