Usage
A noun derived from qaseḥ, "hard". It is found mainly in qsuḥiyt rras, literally "hardness of the head", to describe a stubborn person who refuses to listen to reason. The word is colloquial and often used in a tone of reproach. It can also, more rarely, mean hardness of character, in the sense of severity. It is less common than expressions built with the adjective, such as rasu qaseḥ ("he is hard-headed"), which remain the most natural way to say that someone is stubborn.
