Usage

9tiSadi is an adjective of the formal register, taken from Standard Arabic. It describes what relates to the economy: "l2azma l9tiSadiya", "the economic crisis". It agrees in gender and number: 9tiSadiya in the feminine, 9tiSadiyin in the plural. Used as a noun, it can mean an economist. Beware of the false friend: it does not mean "cheap" or "money-saving".
