Usage
Dafi, feminine dafya and plural dafyin, denotes moderate, pleasant warmth, between "lukewarm" and "nicely hot". It is used for a drink, water, a place or clothes: lbit dafi, "the room is warm". It should not be confused with skhoun, which denotes strong heat, up to the point of burning. So dafi is reassuring: it is not scalding. The corresponding verb is dfa, "to warm up", and the noun for gentle warmth is ddfa. For a person, rah dafi means they are nice and warm.
