kollo كولّو
Moroccan Darija · adjective
“kollo” (كولّو) is an adjective in Moroccan Darija meaning all of it, entire.
Meanings
- all of it, entire
- he/it in full
Usage
Kollo is formed from koll and the third-person masculine singular suffix. Placed after a noun or a demonstrative, it means “whole, entire”: hadchi kollo (all of that), lhanout kollo (the whole shop). It agrees through the suffix: kollha for the feminine, kollhom for the plural, kollna for “all of us”, kollkom for “all of you”. Do not confuse it with kulu, the plural imperative of kla “to eat”, which is often written the same way in arabizi. This is the case in koulou merhba bikoum (eat, you are welcome).
Example
هادشي كولو كدوب
hadchi koulou kdoub
“All of that is lies.”
