Meanings

  1. to find

Usage

Lga is the widespread pronunciation of lqa, "to find". The q is pronounced like a g, which is common in much of Morocco. It is conjugated as follows: lgit ("I found"), lga ("he found"), kanl9a or kanelga ("I find"). The verb is used for a lost object, a solution or a person you bump into: lgitou f zzan9a, "I found him in the street". It should not be confused with tla9a, which means "to meet each other" in a reciprocal sense. The sense of "to discover" is a simple extension of "to find".
