m3a mn مع من
Moroccan Darija · expression
“m3a mn” (مع من) is an expression in Moroccan Darija meaning with whom?.
Meanings
- with whom?
- with whom (indefinite relative)
Usage
M3a mn combines m3a (with) and mn (who, interrogative). It is the normal way to ask "with whom?", for example m3a mn kunti ?, "who were you with?". In an indirect question, the construction stays the same: ma3reftch m3a mn mcha, "I don't know who he left with". In online writing it is often joined as m3amn. Careful: mn means "who" here, not "from" as in the preposition mn. For the relative "the one with whom", people say lli... m3ah instead.
Example
مع من غادي تمشي للعرس؟
m3a mn ghadi tmchi l l3ers?
“Who are you going to the wedding with?”
