Usage
Mostachar is a Modern Standard Arabic word taken over unchanged into darija, especially in institutional contexts: news, administration, politics, business. For example, one speaks of a mostachar dyal l-malik, an advisor to the king, or of a legal advisor. In everyday conversation, for advice between friends or family, people use the verb nsse7 (to advise) or the expression 3tani ra2y (he gave me his opinion). The common plural is mostacharin. The feminine is mostachara. Do not confuse it with mostachfa, the hospital, which sounds similar.
Example

khddam mostachar f wa7d charika kbira
“He works as an advisor in a big company.”
