Meanings

  1. brilliant, excellent (student)
  2. superior, better than others

Usage

Mtfewweq is used mostly in school contexts, for a student who gets excellent results. People say tilmid mtfewweq or lmtfewwqin ("the top students, the prizewinners"). With the preposition 3la, it means "better than": mtfewweq 3la shabo ("he outdoes his classmates"). The word is complimentary.
