Usage
N77a, imperative n77i, is a very common verb for "to remove" or "to take away" an object, a piece of clothing or a person. You say "n77i sebbaT" (take off your shoes) or "n77i had chi mn hna" (take this away from here). The verb is also used for removing someone from a post: "n77aweh mn l-khedma" (they fired him). The reflexive form tn77a means "to step aside", "to move over". The second consonant is doubled: this gemination is often missing from Arabic script and from arabizi.
