Usage
Nader, or nadir, describes what is rare or hard to find: an object, an animal, a human quality. It is in common use, with a slightly standard-Arabic flavor. It is readily strengthened with bezzaf, "very". The feminine is nadra. The adverbial form nadiran, "rarely", comes straight from standard Arabic and is heard in a careful register. In casual conversation, people more often say qlil fach, "rarely", or ma kaynch bezzaf, "there isn't much of it". One can also say chi 7aja nadra for "an exceptional thing".
