Meanings

  2. skilled, very good (person)
  3. club (sports, association)

Usage

In colloquial darija, nadi is mainly used as a praising adjective: a film, a meal, an evening or a person can be nadi. Applied to someone, it means they are very good at something, often with the preposition f: nadi f lkora, "very good at football". Among friends, it also serves as an affectionate compliment, even as thanks. It is a young, spoken register, to be avoided in formal contexts.
