“neffed” (نفّد) is a verb in Moroccan Darija meaning to carry out, implement.

Meanings

  1. to carry out, implement
  2. to enforce (law, order)

Usage

Neffed means "to carry out, apply": an order, a decision, a law or a plan. The register is fairly formal; it is heard in administration, the media or at work, as in neffed lqanoun, "to enforce the law". In everyday language, it is also used to mean "do what you are asked": neffed dak chi lli gal lik. It is not used for the execution of a condemned person in ordinary speech. The present is ynеffed and the corresponding noun is tanfid, "execution, implementation". Note: the spelling with d reflects the Moroccan pronunciation.
