Meanings

Usage

Nou3 (plural anwa3) is the common word for "type, kind". It is used a lot when shopping: "achmn nou3?" (what kind? what brand?). It is often used with the demonstrative and no article: "had nou3" (this kind). Applied to people, the expression can be slightly pejorative: "had nou3 d n-nas" (this kind of people).
