Sa9si سقسي

s7i صحّي

Moroccan Darija · adjective

“s7i” (صحّي) is an adjective in Moroccan Darija meaning healthy, good for you.

Meanings

  1. healthy, good for you
  2. hygienic, clean

Usage

S7i mostly describes food or a way of life: makla s7iya ("healthy food"), nakel dkchi s7i ("to eat healthily"). It can also mean "hygienic": machi s7i is said of a dirty or unsanitary place. The feminine is s7iya. Watch out for a pitfall: sahi, with a single h, means "absent-minded, daydreaming", and is a completely different word, even though the Latin spellings look alike. It should also not be confused with s7i7, "solid, sturdy".
