sterje3 سترجع
Moroccan Darija · verb
“sterje3” (سترجع) is a verb in Moroccan Darija meaning to recover, get back.
Meanings
- to recover, get back
- to recover (health, strength)
Usage
Sterje3 means to get back what you had lost or lent: sterje3 flousou (get one's money back), sterje3 lpaspor, sterje3 l3afya (regain one's health). The object is direct. In everyday speech, people often say rjje3 or khda flousou, and sterje3 sounds a little more formal, although it is common. In sport, one says sterje3 lkora (win back the ball). Be careful not to confuse it with rje3, which means to come back and takes no direct object.
