Meanings
- third
- three (before a noun)
Usage
Talt (often ttalt with the article) is the ordinal "third". It comes after the noun: sou2al ttalt ("the third question"). The feminine is ttalta: lmerra ttalta ("the third time"). In rapid speech it is also heard before a noun with the meaning "three", as in talt iyam ("three days"). The standalone cardinal, however, remains tlata. For an English speaker, remember the position after the noun and the feminine agreement.
