Bla corresponds to "without": 9ahwa bla sokkor (coffee without sugar), bla flous (without money). Before a verb it takes the form bla ma: mcha bla ma y9oul (he left without saying anything). With yezzi, it takes the force of a command: yezzi bla... (stop with...). The more classical form bila is heard in more formal expressions. However, bla never means "blah-blah".
