In Tunisia, chorba mainly means soup, especially the Ramadan soup: chorba frik (with crushed green wheat), chorba lsen 3asfour (with small pasta), chorba 7out (fish). It traditionally opens the meal that breaks the fast. The word can also mean a sip or a drink: chorbet me (a sip of water). In this sense, jor3a is more often used, or the verb chreb. The plural is chorbet or chribet. During Ramadan, people wish each other sa77a chribetkom.
