Usage
Dakordou is a borrowing from French "d'accord", adapted with the -ou ending typical of Tunisian speech. It is used in speech to give agreement, often on its own or followed by formulas like 3ichek, "thank you". You also hear dakor, which is closer to French. The tone is informal and relaxed, very common among young people and in cities. It is also used as a question, dakordou ?, "are we agreed?". It is equivalent to Arabic expressions like ey behi or mriguel. In a more formal register, people say mouwèfe9, "agreed" in the sense of "I approve".
