dhaher ظاهر
Tunisian Derja · adverb
“dhaher” (ظاهر) is an adverb in Tunisian Derja meaning apparently, it seems that.
Meanings
- apparently, it seems that
- visible, obvious
- to look (good, tired…)
Usage
Dhaher is used mainly to express an impression: dhaher ("apparently"). With a pronoun, dhaher fih means "you can tell he…" or "he looks like…": dhaher fih ta3ben ("he looks tired"). The form dhaherli ("it seems to me") introduces a cautious personal opinion. The register is common and informal. In its literal sense, dhaher means "visible". Pitfall: despite its verb label in some sources, the word works as a participle or an adverb and is not conjugated.
Example
مسكين , والله سخفني مخبّي1815 ظاهر فيك من روّاد \" السفير \"
meskine , wallah sa5afni m5abbi1815 dhaher fik men rouwèd \" essafir \"
