fi في
Tunisian Derja · preposition
“fi” (في) is a preposition in Tunisian Derja meaning in, at, on (place, time).
Meanings
- in, at, on (place, time)
- about, in (after some verbs)
- at, against (target of action)
Usage
Fi is the most common preposition of place and time: fi tounes ("in Tunisia"), fi lil ("at night"). Before the article, it almost always reduces to f or fel: fel dar ("at home"). It takes the suffix pronouns: fiya, fik, fih, fikom. Many verbs govern it where French uses a different preposition: khammem fi ("to think about"), chadd fi ("to hold on to, insist on"), y7eb fik ("he likes you"). So it should not always be translated as "in".

في تونس ان شاء الله
