Usage
Jouan is the name of the month of June in Tunisia. Like the other months, it takes the French name, adapted to local pronunciation: jenfi, fivri, mars, avril, mai, jouan, jwilya, out, etc. Eastern names like hazirane are not used in speech. It is placed after the day number: "sab3a jouan", the seventh of June. One says "fi jouan" for "in June".
