Khsous is almost always used in the phrase fi khsous, "regarding, about". It introduces the topic of a question or a request. It is found mostly in careful or semi-formal speech: media, administration, messages to a person in authority. It is still common in speech, though. In casual conversation, people more readily say 3la or fi directly followed by the noun. Pitfall: don't forget fi, as khsous alone is rare. The meaning differs from bel khsous, which means "in particular".
