“lokhrin” (لخرين) is an adjective in Tunisian Derja meaning the others (plural).
Meanings
- the others (plural)
Usage
Lokhrin is the plural form of "other". The singular is lekhor (masculine) and lokhra (feminine). It is used after a definite plural noun, as in el nes lokhrin (the other people) or el bit lokhrin (the other rooms). It can also be used alone, meaning "the others": w lokhrin? (and the others?). It is the usual form in everyday speech. The pitfall is word order: it always follows the noun, so "the other books" is el kotob lokhrin.
