lsa9 لصق
Tunisian Derja · verb
“lsa9” (لصق) is a verb in Tunisian Derja meaning to stick, adhere.
Meanings
- to stick, adhere
- to cling to someone
- glue
Usage
Lsa9 means "to stick" or "to adhere": one says "lsa9 fi ydi" (it stayed stuck to my hand). For the transitive sense "to stick something", the intensive form "lassa9" is preferred: "lassa9 el affiche 3al 7it" (he stuck the poster on the wall). Figuratively, "lsa9 fih" means to not let go of someone, to stick to them constantly, with an annoyed nuance. The same word is also a noun for glue ("n7ab lsa9", I want some glue). Only context tells the verb from the noun.
Example
الطابع ما لصقش في الجواب.
