Meanings
- full, filled
- loaded, packed
- at breaking point, full of anger
Usage
M3abbi is the passive participle of the verb 3abba, "to fill". Literally, it describes a container, bag or tank that is full: el kes m3abbi, la karhba m3abbia. The feminine is m3abbia and the plural is m3abbiin. Figuratively, a person is m3abbi when anger, stress or resentment has built up and they risk exploding: ena m3abbi, khallini. In this sense it corresponds more to "at the end of one's rope" or "on edge". The context almost always shows which of the two senses is meant. The register is common and informal.
