Meanings
- no longer, not anymore
Usage
Ma3adech expresses the negation "no longer, not anymore". It goes before the conjugated verb: ma3adech najjem, "I can't take it anymore", ma3adech yji, "he doesn't come anymore". It is the most common fixed form of this negation, and it does not change with the person. It is also heard in expressions of exasperation or weariness such as ma3adech n7ess, "I no longer feel anything". The register is informal and everyday. Do not add an extra negation to the verb: ma3adech is enough on its own.
