  2. stretched, taut

Usage

Mejboud is the passive participle of the verb "jbed", to pull. It describes what has been pulled, stretched or drawn out. It appears in "mejboud mennou el hwé", vacuum-packed (literally "whose air has been removed"), on food packaging. It is also used for a thread, a sheet or a well-taut rope.
