Usage
In derja, mkammel is first the participle of kammel ("to finish, complete"). It means "having finished" and takes a direct object. Mkammel qrāytou means "he has finished his studies." The sense of "complementary," inherited from standard Arabic, is rarer and administrative. The feminine is mkammla and the plural mkammlin. The register is everyday and neutral.
