Usage
Rdhi (or rdha) means benevolent approval, especially that of parents. Rdha el waldin, the blessing of the father and mother, is considered a source of success. Rdhi el walda is a variant. The word is very common in good wishes, on social media and on the backs of trucks. It is also found in the religious formula radhiya Allahou 3anhou (may God be pleased with him), said after the name of a Companion of the Prophet. This formula belongs to Classical Arabic.
