Usage
Tafsil means first of all "detail": "bel tafsil" means "in detail" when telling or explaining something. In trade, the same expression is the opposite of "bel jomla" (wholesale): to buy or sell "bel tafsil" is to do so retail, by the unit. In tailoring, tafsil refers to the cutting of a garment; "tfassel" means to have clothes made to measure. The French loanword "détail" also circulates in trade, but tafsil remains common.
