Usage
Tayer is the participle of tar, "to fly". It describes a bird or an object in flight, but is used a great deal figuratively. The expression "3al tayer" means "on the fly": you can catch something on the fly or pick up a hint immediately. The feminine is tayra, the plural tayrin. It is used in a colloquial register; in songs, it also evokes the surge of love.
