Usage

Totlob is a conjugated form of the verb tlab, "to ask for", in the imperfect. It corresponds to "you ask for" or "she asks for". The person who receives the request is introduced by men: "totlob mennou", "you ask him for". In a café or restaurant, the verb means "to order": "chnowa totlob ?", "what are you having?".
