Usage
Wa9t denotes time as duration: "5dhé barcha wa9t" (it took a lot of time). It also denotes a specific moment: "fi kol wa9t" (at any time). Followed by a noun, it indicates the time for something: "wa9t es-sla" (prayer time), "wa9t el 3cha" (dinner time). With elli, it becomes a temporal conjunction: "wa9t elli jit" (when I came), often written joined, wa9telli. "Wa9tha" means "at that moment". To ask what time it is, wa9t is not used alone; say "9addech el wa9t?" or "9addech es-sa3a?".
