Meanings

  1. come on, for heaven's sake
  2. hey (to get attention)

Usage

Woh is a spoken interjection of informal conversation. It reinforces what you say: insistence, impatience, protest or obviousness. It often comes at the end of a sentence, after a statement or a refusal, with a force close to “come on” or “for heaven's sake”. It can also open a sentence to get attention before announcing something. It pairs readily with yezzi (“enough”) or with ti. Tone carries most of the meaning, and the Latin spelling varies a lot. Do not confuse it with the conjunction w (“and”).
