Usage

Farq is used mainly in the phrase "kayen farq" (there is a difference). One also says "farq kbir bin… w…", meaning "a big difference between… and…". Do not confuse this noun with the verb ferreq (to distribute, to separate). It should also be distinguished from ferqa (troupe, team), which is written with a different final letter.
