“ghodwa” (غدوة) is an adverb in Algerian Darja meaning tomorrow.

Meanings

  2. later, in the future

Usage

Ghodwa is the usual word for "tomorrow" throughout Algeria. One also says "nhar ghodwa" (the day of tomorrow), and "ghir ghodwa" for "starting tomorrow". The word very often goes with "inchallah" when talking about a plan. It can also refer, vaguely, to the future, like the English "tomorrow". Do not confuse it with "lghda", which means the midday meal. Its opposites are "el-barah" (yesterday) and "lyoum" (today), and "ba3d ghodwa" means "the day after tomorrow".
