Meanings
- stuck, glued
- clingy, sticking to someone
Usage
Lase9 is the participle of the verb l9e9 / lse9 ("to stick"). It describes something that adheres to a surface (ttabe3 lase9 f lbab, "the stamp is stuck to the door") or someone who won't leave you alone. In the latter sense, it is constructed with f + pronoun: lase9 fiya, "he's sticking to me". Malek lase9 fiya ? is a colloquial, slightly irritated way of asking someone to back off. The feminine is las9a, the plural las9in. The English gloss "accurate" found in the sources does not match actual usage.
