“nsher” (نشر) is a verb in Moroccan Darija meaning to hang out (laundry).

Meanings

  1. to hang out (laundry)
  2. to publish, broadcast
  3. to spread, lay out

Usage

At home, nsher (imperfect ynsher) means above all to hang out laundry to dry: "nsher l7wayj f sste7". In a more formal register, it means to publish (a book, an article) or to post on social media, and it then equals "to publish" or "to share". It can also mean to spread out or scatter something. The noun nachr (publication, publishing) belongs to the media register. In young people's slang, nsher is also heard in the sense of going out to have fun, but this use is colloquial and varies.
