Moroccan Darija · adjective

“radi” (راضي) is an adjective in Moroccan Darija meaning satisfied, content.

Meanings

  1. satisfied, content
  2. giving one's blessing

Usage

RaDi means satisfied or content with something. It is constructed with b-: "raDi b had lkhedma," content with this job. With 3la, it takes on an emotional and religious sense: "lwalidin raDyin 3lik," your parents are pleased with you and give you their blessing, which refers to the notion of rDa. Its forms are raDya (feminine) and raDyin (plural). Note: in some regions, radi with a plain d is the future particle, "radi nmchi," I am going to leave. This word has nothing to do with raDi.
