Usage

Sehhel means to make something easy. It is very common in everyday religious phrases: "llah ysehhel" (may God make it easy), said to someone who is leaving or starting work, or to politely turn down a beggar. It takes 3la for the person who benefits: "sehhel 3lina". Pitfall: the adjective sahl (easy) is written the same in Arabic without vowels, but is not pronounced the same way. The corresponding noun is tashil (facilitation).
