rabet رابط
Tunisian Derja · noun
“rabet” (رابط) is a noun in Tunisian Derja meaning link (internet).
Meanings
- link (internet)
- bond, tie
Usage
Rabet is the Arabic word for an internet link. It is very common in written messages in Tunisia, for example to ask for the link to a streamed match: "3tini rabet". In speech, Tunisians more readily use the French word "lien": "ab3athli el lien". Rabet therefore has a slightly more written or standard flavour, but it is perfectly understood. In a formal register, the word can also mean a bond or tie between people or between ideas.
Example
ابعثلي الرابط متاع الماتش
ab3athli e rabet mta3 el match
“Send me the link to the match.”
