Meanings

Usage

Dakhel is used as a preposition meaning "inside": dakhel ed-dar ("in the house"). It is also used on its own, as an adverb: rah dakhel ("he is inside"). It is also the active participle of the verb dkhel ("to enter"), hence "entering" or "in the process of entering". The feminine is dakhla: ana dakhel nchouf ("I'm going in to see").
